Michael Michaud has been creating his beautiful Silver Seasons Jewelry Collection for over 20 years with each piece being cast directly from each respective plant. The Silver Seasons Collection features botanical elements cast in silver and bronze and accented with pearls and gemstones.
In 1991 Michaud found himself working in New York City and living in the beautiful Connecticut countryside and his love of the natural beauty that surrounded him began to blend with his passion for creating jewelry and Michael Michaud Jewelry - The Silver Seasons Collection was born.
Michael Michaud creates his unique jewelry by creating molds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting. While traditional lost-wax casting begins with a hand-carved model of wax, Michaud instead uses an actual leaf, branch or flower in place of the wax model. A mold is created around the botanical element and as it is heated the plant matter burns away and leaves behind a beautifully detailed mold of itself.
