ACCOUNTS PAYABLE COORDINATOR P/T - VICTORIA HEAD OFFICE

20 HOUR WEEK – Hours can be flexible between Monday & Thursday. 

This position interacts with inventory suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and receiving teams in our 4 branch locations and distribution center and supports the Accounts Payable Manager and Purchasing Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Matching & reconciliation of Inventory Invoices, Freight, Brokerage and Customs Duties to Purchase Orders & automated Branch Store Receiving Documents.
  • Landed costing data entry of above to automated inventory accounting system.
  • Backorder & Purchase Order closing follow-up.
  • Damage by freight forwarder claims.
  • Inventory Cost updating assistance.
  • Short & overship investigation, communications & reconciliations with suppliers and forwarders.
  • Filing and other related office duties pertaining to Inventory Accounts Payable in our Purchasing office.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

A minimum of 2 years related experience in a full Accounts Payable cycle. Excellent email, telephone communication and problem solving abilities. Highly organized, proficient & accurate with data entry and filing.

This is an exciting full time opportunity for an avid couturier to manage our in house sewing room and create home couture products in collaboration with our interior design team. This is a wonderful opportunity for avid sewers who wish to work full or part time at home creating couture cushions, window coverings and beddings.

To qualify, you will need good updated domestic sewing equipment inclusive of a 5 needle serger, walking foot Phaff or equivalent. You will need a 6x10 ft cutting & pressing table and a non smoking home environment. A vehicle is required to pick up work orders and deliver finished items back to the store.
