INTERIOR DESIGN ASSOCIATES

This position is perfect for the individual who is looking to pursue their love of interior design, in an absolutely inspirational setting. We are seeking individuals who have a true vision of what a space can be, and are able to bring the project through to completion, by assisting customers in choosing from our vast assortment of furniture, rugs, carpeting, custom window coverings, lighting and accessories, both in stock, and by special order.

Our designers are responsible for the success of their projects, and are able to communicate textile specifications to our in house workrooms (we provide training, but basic fabric knowledge is necessary). The right individual understands that customer service is paramount, and is able to work well both alone, and as part of a team. A car is necessary for frequent home measures, quotes and consultations.

DESIGN ROOM ASSOCIATES

This is our entry level position to design. You would work with customers cutting fabrics, assist the senior designers, tidy the showroom and support all department inventory tasks as required.

To qualify you would be studying design or have your degree and be ready to move to the next level of your career. You need to be physically fit to handle textiles rolls on the sales floor, have good sewing construction knowledge, computer skills, and a keen interest in textiles and soft furnishings.

To qualify, you need good domestic sewing equipment and a 6x10 ft cutting & pressing table and a non smoking home environment. You will need a vehicle to pick up and deliver projects to the store & you will need to be extremely organized and always able to work within committed time frames.
