DESIGN COORDINATOR

Victoria Store

Our successful applicant will love textiles, soft furnishings and sewing construction design while working with our Design Associates and trades hands on. You thrive on your strong customer care initiative in a retail environment. Responsible for the overall maintenance of the Design Department you are meticulous and highly organized to manage our showroom, samples and inventory as well as support our furniture gallery vignette settings and moves.

Physical requirements are constant lifting and assisting moves of heavy rolls of fabric, accessories and furniture up and down stairs to assist product moves and customer service throughout the store. 

You will act as a point person for inter-store and vendor communications.

INTERIOR DESIGN ASSOCIATE 

Full or Part time positions available.

Pursue your career in Interior Design in our inspirational setting. The successful applicant will be visually driven, confident, creative, detail oriented and an exceptional listener. You must be hard working and organized to assist in all aspects of merchandising, product care and maintaining our showroom.

You are adept at resourcing inspiration, products and trends for each project you are presented with. Instinctive spacial, balance and colour perception are a must to work throughout our vast showroom of furniture, lighting, accessories, botanicals and textiles to curate exquisite interiors. Ability to communicate ideas to customer orders verbally, written and drawn is essential to manage projects from start to finish with perfection.

A vehicle is essential for home design consultation in order to provide calculated space planning and on site visual project collaboration with our client.

BOTANICAL ARTIST  

Full or Part time positions available.

The successful applicant is outgoing, highly creative, resourceful, passionate and extremely talented in the art of botanical arrangement and home accessorizing. You would work throughout the store curating beautiful floral, accessory, furniture and soft furnishing stories with our guests.

DESIGN MANAGER 

The successful applicant will be an accomplished sales professional with an extensive career in residential interior design.  Our ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented and will embrace the challenges of teaching & processing soft furnishings custom project administration detail to ensure the Chintz processes run smoothly and the customer experience is exceptional. They will be a strong leader with a passion for interior design details, soft furnishings trends and store merchandising.  Confident textile and sewing construction knowledge is a must for overseeing interior projects including window coverings, bedding and upholstery.  

The Design Manager will be responsible for oversight and management of all workings of this department from training and  inventory management,  trade and industry networking, to the maintenance of excellent workroom relationships.

HOME COUTURE AT HOME

This is a wonderful opportunity for avid sewers who wish to work on a casual, full or part-time basis from home, creating beautiful custom couture cushions, window coverings and bedding.  Compensation is piece work and earnings range between $30 to $40 per hour dependent on experience.

To qualify, you will need domestic sewing equipment inclusive of a 5 needle serger, walking foot Phaff or equivalent. You will need a 6x10 ft cutting & pressing table and a non smoking home environment. A vehicle is required to pick up fabric and deliver finished items back to the store.
